This project involved the build out of the lower level of the Modern Mountain Getaway, a High Performance Home we built near Smugglers Notch. The lower level was specifically designed to be an open, flexible, comfortable, multi-use away space for the family and for hosting guests. Bunk house style, there are beds built in on both ends of the room, each with their own cozy alcove and lighting. In between is a comfortable TV area, game area, and luxurious bathroom. A beautiful maple stair with open risers lets the light through, and connects the lower level to the main house. The lower level has become a favorite escape for everyone to enjoy.
